The group markets its products under the names of Thomson, Technicolor and RCA.
Net sales (not including activities which have been discontinued or are being sold) break down by family of products and services as follows:
- content preparation and distribution services (48.3%): DVD and VHS tape reproduction services, processing of film reels (used for projecting films in theatres), content management and archiving services, etc.
intended for film studios, television broadcasters, and network operators;
- telecommunication systems and equipment (37.6%): television distribution equipment, decoders, modems, routers, soft switches, domestic telephone products, etc.;
- other (3%): primarily subcontracted manufacturing of printed circuit boards and decoders.
The remaining sales (11.1%) are from component design (integrated circuits, digital optical components for DVD players and game consoles, etc.), software development, and license sales (primarily video technology licenses).
Net sales (not including activities which have been discontinued or are being sold) are distributed geographically as follows: France (31%), Europe (16.5%), the United States (35.6%), Americas (10.5%) and Asia/Pacific (6,4%).
